Thanks to everyone who participated this weekend. Make sure to thank these people:
Ashley Bledsoe – for putting up with me and helping me with all the stuff I’m not good at, like registration. There’s a lot more than that. She ran a lot of stuff when I was paying attention.
Rob Conner – for initiating the planning and help driving it forward to the finish. In charge of the Obstacle course and running all over the place to get the things done that I forgot.
Doug Larson – for picking up my slack and running the Snatch Ladder. Second, to running around to setup for next heats.
Paul Eich – for leading the judges to hold a standard and WOD development.
Scott Shankle – for scoring, it has to be the worst job. For missing some of the events and having people complain at him the whole time.
Mike McGoldrick’s family – for making breakfast happen.
All the volunteers and judges that made this event operate as smoothly as possible. So many of you played huge parts in making this happen. Without you the wheels would have come off for sure. I can’t possible name off everyone who volunteered. I made some mistakes but I had some super competent folks to fill in the gaps.
And finally thanks to the athletes for signing up for a competition that you didn’t know much about. You took the leap of faith and I hope that it paid off. I enjoyed the company of CrossFitters all weekend.
Good job everyone and thanks to the volunteers that make this happen. I’ll see everyone no later than 7:45 tomorrow morning. Breakfast at 7am again. If you want to volunteer you can show up as early as 6am and we’ll be out there setting up.
If you wish to run the obstacle course as your first WOD first thing in the morning we will let you. Keep in mind that you will be getting wet during the obstacle course.
If you wish to do this please email me through the contact form or let us know when you pick up your registration packet tonight. Thanks.
